Engagement Photographer Northern Ireland

Engagement Photographer in Portadown and across Northern Ireland, capturing Couples' Outdoor Sessions, Proposals and Pre-Weddings.

Enquiries

I primarily serve the Craigavon and County Armagh areas, but sometimes I travel throughout Northern Ireland. In the past, couples have used photos for special cards, posters, and thank you cards, amongst many other things - the list is endless. Of course, couples also upload some of them onto their own social media accounts and tag friends.

As an engagement photographer in Portadown, I think the best is when you are chilling out, relaxing and having fun, with a few smooching (i.e., kisses) if both of you are into it. If you’d like to hire me for your marriage proposal or a surprise, get in touch.

6 Reasons why you need to book an Engagement Photo Session

  1. If you are a bit nervous, couples portraits can help in front of the camera if you are a bit camera-shy

  2. You get to know your photographer

  3. Your photographer gets to know you

  4. You get to see why you don’t need to pose all the time, as natural is ALWAYS best

  5. You get amazing images before the big day that you can hype your wedding up

  6. It’s a time to celebrate

As well as NI, I also photograph in Belfast city, but a bit of planning is needed because of car parking.

Gift Vouchers Available

Gift Vouchers are available for you to purchase. This can be emailed as an e-gift card or a physical gift voucher. This is much better as you can hand this to the person or relative you are buying it for, rather than simply emailing, which isn't as personal in my opinion.

NOTE: Terms and conditions apply as there is a time limit for when this needs to be used in Northern Ireland. If not used within the stated date, the voucher is then voided, and no refund will be given.

Gift vouchers can be now be purchased for an engagement photo shoot anywhere in Northern Ireland.

As a proposal photographer, I’d love to capture this special time for you. I’ve helped some couples plan their perfect proposal in some beautiful locations. Some ideas include Dunseverick Castle, the Cliffs of Moher and the North Coast, or any nice park in your town or city will be good too. I’d love to help you plan yours - get in touch now!

I travel all over Northern Ireland and don’t stay within County Armagh and the Craigavon area only. Also, there is some informational content too to help you plan your engagement photo shoot. Click on an image below.

Frequently Asked Questions

What month is best?

The summer months are best due to the weather and being more than likely to be sunny, but, if you think about it, the time of the year would be great, e.g., if it’s snowing this time of the year would be great in the right location.  If it’s raining a little, there is no reason why you still can’t take some. If it’s too heavy, head to a sheltered spot.

What are the best places to propose?

There are many places you can propose at.

What should you not do?

  1. Too many changes of clothes

  2. Stick with one max location

Some ideas outside of County Armagh are the Cliffs of Moher.

  3. Come with a bad-tempered mood, it won’t work as you won’t get those nice candid moments

  4. Not picking comfortable clothing

  5. If you feel a bit camera-shy, it's normal, and the photographer will help create a relaxed atmosphere.

What colours do you wear?

If you are going to a park or garden-type environment where there are lots of greens, then you shouldn’t wear greens, you should wear colours contrasting with this, such as blues, purples and white. Light colours are great, anything except greens would be ideal. This is because you will blend in too much with the background. You don’t need any more outfits other than the outfit you're wearing. This is a bit overkill. If you want, bring some props, but again, you don’t need to.

They are a great way to get familiar with a photographer, taking yours before your day. It’s very laid back and casual compared to your actual day, which can be quite busy and rushed. In my opinion, it’s essential. They can be traditional or can be something a bit different and more creative, reflecting both your personalities. We’ll try some poses as well as some natural and less posed ones.
