The couple’s pre-wedding photoshoot was picked by them for us to meet and have a few engagement photos. It was a bit early to go through the wedding schedule, but Charlotte is from the town, and Gary is from Newtownabbey so I wasn’t 100% sure it was a good spot, but how wrong I was, the Galgorm was an ideal location!

The building where weddings are held is called The Great Hall and is separate and just a short walk from the Galgorm Hotel and Spa (also known as Galgorm Resort and Spa), which is a great spot for a photo session, as they have a nice lake beside the swing. There are plenty of areas outside with lots of space to explore and move about. The location also has large grounds with ample car parking space, so need to worry about that. The hall has a country house feel to it and is aimed at people looking for luxury. The chandeliers are beautiful, and the room has marble features throughout.

Autumn Engagement Photos at the Hotel in Ballymena

We took a walk around the area in November, which was autumn time and then over to Galgorm Hotel and Spa for more pictures beside the river before heading back. As you’d expect, slightly cold weather. The fab couple wanted a few of Gary's proposals, so he got down on his knee and proposed. A bit staged and posed, but jolly good fun nevertheless.

We took a walk around some parts, taking photos if we saw something interesting. For engagement photos, there was no shortage of locations and areas within walking distance. I tried to think of variations in walking, standing, posing and sitting down to break the images up. Hope you enjoy your photos, Charley and Gary, and looking forward to photographing your wedding.
