Here’s why Sligo Park Hotel weddings are the best in Ireland the couple had their ceremony in October 2020 in Dartford, UK during lockdown so I was booked for their reception in Sligo Park Hotel. I arrived early and shot some photos and filmed some of the rooms as there was a smaller lounge area connected to the larger function room were the first dance was going to be. There was a keyboard player (who would join the Fabulous Bentley Brothers later) playing some great music beside the projector showing Mary and Shkelzen’s wedding from 2020. The families arrived and were chatting in the hotel reception lounge at the entrance.

Sligo wedding venues are the best in Ireland and Sligo Park Hotel is no exception. You can be here in the morning for bridal prep and stay up to your first dance, it’s completely up to you and your future spouse.

Things were running a bit late so when Mary and Shkelzen arrived there was a blessing in the smaller room by Mary’s Mullaghmore priest Christy McHugh. This was great to see as it was quite light-hearted and jolly good fun. He explained the couple had already got married on their wedding day and said a prayer for the two. It was a little religious but not too much, just the right balance.

Earlier was a little bit rushed so I thought we should head to the back of the hotel where the larger garden was for some bride and groom portraits and wedding photography as there was now a bit of time before the first dance. We tried to mix things up a bit with a few different combinations around the gardens before making our way back to the room.

Sligo Park Hotel Wedding Photos

Back to the wedding. Have a look through some of the Sligo Park Hotel wedding photos we captured on the couples’ day.

We then took some wedding photos of the families in the small garden at the side of the wedding room before everyone was called in as time was a bit limited. Afterwards, Mary’s dad made a speech welcoming Shkelzen into their family.

The Fabulous Bentley Brothers started setting up as the keyboard player was playing in the lounge earlier and one of the musicians stayed on after the band finished off the night as DJ. The first dance started and soon afterwards the families and guests joined in too which was great to see. I must say Sligo weddings are the best and thank you for booking me Mary and Shkelzen and hope you have a great future together.
