Sligo Park Hotel Wedding Photography and Video Solo

Sligo Park Hotel Wedding Photography and Videos with Mary and Shkelzen, who are a European and Irish couple living in the UK, back over for a blessing.

Wedding Reception Photos in the Sligo Park Hotel

The couple had their ceremony in October, so I was booked to photograph and film their wedding reception in Sligo. I arrived early to photograph and film some of the wedding rooms before guests arrived, when the decor is nice and untouched. There was a smaller lounge area connected to the larger function room, where the dinner and first dance were to take place. There was a keyboard player (who would join the Bentley Boys) playing before the Irish blessing. I filmed the priest giving the couple his blessing before photos of the immediate family.

Wedding Portraits in the small garden

We organised some wedding portraits and family photos before the dinner in the small garden beside the main large function room where the reception was being held. This was a small garden, so not too many guests could fit into it, but thankfully, I had a wide lens for my camera with me, so I could get everyone into the photos. It was ideal for the couple’s photos and the size of their reception. Anymore guests and the larger garden would have been used.

After the ceremony and before dinner, we headed out to the larger garden in the hotel with the bride and groom. Time was limited, so we walked around some areas of the garden taking portraits and trying a range of images from wider to medium to close-ups. As a wedding photographer theres nothing more boring than getting the photos throughout a photo shoot. The key is mixing things up.

I set up my usual two cameras with a microphone attached to the cameras and also a small portable one on the speakers, too, as the speeches were before the dinner. I filmed this, so I have no photos of the speeches.

After dinner, the band set up for the first dance. I took some photos of the various guests at their tables, very relaxed and chilled out, before I filmed most of it, as they wanted plenty of video footage. I still took some pictures, though, as I was waiting before the first dance. Hope you're happy with your photos and videos, and all the best with your future together.
