Family Pictures at Home

Family photoshoot in NI as I was booked in the family home and the back garden in Armagh is a great place to celebrate and has the bonus of not going too far… from your home, lol. Anyways this is an example in Armagh with this great family.

Fun Family Photos

I was booked for some fun family photos in the family home in Lurgan which included some photo prints too along with a USB. The older daughter was great to photograph with but the younger kid was let’s say a little bit more challenging to shoot! We shot a couple of variations within the house so I think everyone was happy.

Family Park Photoshoot

Charmaine’s super fun Armagh photoshoot. The location was perfect with many different places to shoot in. Charmaine contacted me about some family and we both decided Markethill was fairly close to all of us so not too far to travel.

Family Christmas Photos

Irene wanted fun family Christmas photos in Portadown as she booked me in December. A couple of photo prints were also supplied with their choice of photos, great bit of fun was had by all. The Christmas photo sessions lasted about 20 minutes and the family received around 50 photos. This is the only time of year I shoot family Christmas photos so best to book early! Even the Christmas photo shoots are quite quick there can be a few different photo-combinations if your house is big enough. They can also be outside with your Christmas clothes on too.

Family Photographer Belfast

I’m a family photographer in Belfast and all over NI including parks, venues like hotels, restaurants and towns like Carrickfergus, Derry, Lisburn, Bangor which is beside the water in Co Down, Ballymena, Omagh, Dungannon, Cookstown, Banbridge, Enniskillen and Newtownards.

Towns I photograph in

I photograph families all over Northern Ireland and just to give you some ideas of towns and cities include Derry/Londonderry, Armagh, Carrickfergus, Enniskillen, Omagh, Bangor County Down, Belfast and Lisburn. There are lots of other smaller villages too which are too many to mention here, wherever you are in NI I can travel there.

Mini Photo Shoots

I photograph mini photo shoots in Portadown and within a 5-mile radius. You decide where you are photographed as I’m not tied to a particular location or town. In County Armagh, you have Craigavon and Lurgan. These last up to 30 minutes and can be emailed or saved onto a USB for £49 extra. Great for viewing on your SmartTV!

Mini Photo Shoot Prices

  • Up to 15 minutes £90

  • From 15 to 30 minutes £190

The booking fee for mini photo shoots in Portadown is £50 then the rest needs to be paid before the shoot.

Family Photo Prop Ideas

Family photo prop ideas for props. If you are a bit stuck for some family photo prop ideas then I have compiled a few ideas below. Props make your family photos more interesting as your child or children can bring some toys to act as props within the photos. This gives them something to do and interact with other than looking at the camera and smiling. Even a baby can play with some props or toys. You need to be careful with toddlers and toys and they should all be baby-friendly.

Family Photo Prop ideas

I’ve compiled a short list of family photo prop ideas below. Anything else you can think of make a note in the comments below.

  1. Toys

  2. Clothes

  3. Scrabble tiles

  4. Balloons

  5. Picture frames

  6. Chair

  7. Blankets

  8. Bubbles

  9. Musical instruments

  10. Bikes

As you can see from above there are endless possibilities, the only real limit is your imagination and the transport of props from your home to the location where you want photos. There are lots of small things you can take though like small toys and balloons (you can blow these up when you get to the location). Some of the other props might be a bit more difficult like the picture frames, bikes and other larger items. An example of family photos using some photo props in County Armagh is below where we had an assortment of props ranging from balloons to teddy bears.

Family Videographer

I’m also a family videographer filming family videos all over the country. You are free to check out the family video I filmed for Ben’s going away party at the top of this page. More info on family videography will be coming soon so stay tuned.

Family Video

An example of a family video where I filmed the family party in Edenmore which you can play below. Photos were also taken too on the evening. Ben’s mum, Dee, wanted Edenmore family birthday party photos and video of the evening as Ben was off to the navy and they had booked The Kircassock Suite for the event. I shot some photos of some of the decor. With photos you need a flash or else everyone would be dark in the Edenmore Country Club room lighting would be dreadful for photos. Edenmore is off one of the main roads Magheralin in between Lurgan and Moira.

For video, you don’t worry about lighting as it would not be practical to run around with lighting gear if you’re more interested in audio! I filmed some video footage of the room decor as it takes a bit of time to switch between photos and video. The room was quite big but not massive. There was a speech by Ben that I filmed with some audio recorders thanking everyone for coming then Dee had a presentation of photos of Ben’s life which was good to see.

We took some family photos in a corner of the room and then some of Ben’s friends too. The Curious Fox had a buffet and the food was beautiful, really was lovely. Afterwards, a policeman interrupted things as he was enquiring about a vehicle, that just happened to be Ben. After a few seconds, the policeman burst into song and a bit of fun, all part of the act by singing Waiters Cameoflage so stay to the end of the video! Thanks for booking me as your family photographer and videographer in Northern Ireland.
