They say your wedding day is an investment, and it’s 100% true, not just now but for your future too, and my wedding photography prices reflect this. I offer various affordable wedding photography packages, but let me know if you need more options. I offer flexible payment plans for couples booking me. You can pay each month or every once in a while; it’s completely up to you, but payment needs to be made in full one month before your day, and receipts are provided. It’s important to work out your wedding budget, so let’s briefly compare options. Let’s compare prices and packages. When planning your wedding budget, it's important to choose the best package that fits your needs. The best option is the (A) full-day price, as I’m there all day from start to finish, where you will get all the photos and images. With the (B) first package, you’ll also get a wedding album. With both (C) and (D) half-day prices, you are missing parts of the day, but if you don’t mind, that’ll be ok. These parts of the day may not be as important to you as others. There is a free pre-wedding photo shoot with the top (A) and (B). All photos are supplied as high-resolution JPEGS; you will not get them in any format other than this.

My minimum wedding photography price is the bottom option (D) above, which is less than 2 hours, but as you can see, there is not much difference between this price and the next one up. With this, you receive all photos on a USB, which you can view on a smart TV. I am finding this better than a password-protected online gallery, as the USB lasts longer. Fewer hours than this is the same price as this. Each section details what you get at each price, with (B) being the only package I offer, as you receive a high-quality album, too.

Wedding Photography Packages

I don’t offer many wedding photography packages other than one, which is the above (B) package, and it is a full day with an album. This is great, as you get your album beautifully designed and printed, as explained above. Even with a lower budget, couples can still have their wedding professionally photographed and can choose from customised packages with different shooting hours and additional items. You will need to contact me about this, but some ideas are above.

I also photograph weddings in Belfast city, and my prices are certainly within the average range, not just for the city, but also for the surrounding towns and areas like Londonderry (Derry), Carrickfergus, Lisburn and Craigavon. Depending on your budget, you may think my prices are not affordable, but I offer various options for you to choose from, including different hours. If you are on a budget, you can book me for my minimum hours.

Case Studies

Let’s have a quick look at what and why I was booked for in the past by past brides and grooms. In the Beechlawn Hotel in Dunmurry, I was booked for the ceremony up to the first dance, which was a little bit cheaper than including bridal preparations. The bride simply didn’t want that part of the day photographed. The ceremony was in Lisburn, so not far to go.

2 Hours Coverage

On the other hand, a couple from Portadown booked their ceremony in Cookstown, including portraits after the ceremony, which was a couple of hours in total. This meant they missed out on a considerable number of photos.

All Day Coverage

In the Europa Hotel, Belfast, I was booked all day, including bridal preparations in the hotel itself, up to the first dance. The ceremony was a short distance away in Glengormley, so there was some driving through the city centre. Bridal portraits were at Hazelbank Park, and then we drove to the Europa Hotel for the reception and wedding photos.

My wedding photography prices are the same as my good prices. Finding someone is crucial so that you get quality and affordability that fits your needs. Affordable Wedding Photographer

I would classify myself as an affordable wedding photographer. To elaborate on that, the definition of affordable means inexpensive and reasonably priced, which pretty much sums me up. I’m neither expensive nor ultra-cheap, but I would say inexpensive. Expensive to me is someone who charges over the £1500 mark, which I don’t do. I would say I’m reasonably priced, which makes me affordable.

Cheap Wedding Photographers and why I’d avoid them

And why do I avoid it? (I’m talking about low wedding photography costs.) Just a quick note on ultra-cheap photographers and why I'd quite frankly run a mile, as there are a few reasons to avoid and book someone who is one of the affordable photographers, like myself. I offer a good all-around price on a wedding, and my prices are competitive. I am not a budget or an ultra-cheap wedding photographer, but I’m afraid you pay for what you get… in my opinion. I don’t offer wedding photography costs per hour or rates, but you can work that out from the above.

Cheap wedding photography is not the way to go for various reasons, some of which are that

1. They have no or minimal experience

2. They are family or friends with a nice camera (any of these is never a good idea)

3. Their photo equipment is not up to much and is substandard, resulting in poor-quality photos

4. They say they're brilliant (mostly like a relative or a friend has told them this), but are just dreadful and not even close

5. They're idiot types, and there are so many other reasons to avoid.

Average Cost of a Wedding Photographer

The average wedding photographer's cost varies, like most things today. Experience, demand, and gear are just a few factors. You can have it expensive and cheaper, but I would book someone in between, which is a good average. In between, someone not too expensive and not cheap, and you get a wedding photographer's average cost.

Wedding Videography Prices

What you get when you book me and how much the video costs are also below in some detail. I have simplified things down to only two packages, as I find that anything with fewer hours leaves you missing a considerable amount of footage from parts of the day not booked and, therefore, not filmed.
