Family Photo Locations in Craigavon and County Armagh

A list of the best Family Photo Places and Locations in the Craigavon area and County Armagh in Northern Ireland for birthday parties and get-togethers.

Tannaghmore Gardens, Craigavon

Just outside Lurgan in Craigavon is a very popular spot that doesn’t disappoint, called Tannaghmore Gardens. This is one of my personal favourite places for a family photo shoot, as it’s HUGE!

Edenmore Golf & Country Club, Craigavon

Also called Edenmore House, this is a great place for family get-togethers and birthday parties. Quite easy to get to from both the Craigavon and the Lisburn end. They have large and smaller rooms, so it depends on how many you have booked.

Lurgan Park

Off Market Street in the town centre, on the main road and just beside Brownlow Castle, the park has a beautiful man-made lake with plenty of trees, open areas and a kids’ play area. Also worth checking out is Craigavon Lakes.

Oxford Island, Lurgan

Just off the M1 motorway, Oxford Island is massive, with plenty to explore for the family. The car park has plenty of boats, as this is the marina, whereas the bottom part is much more open with lots of areas to explore with the kids, including swings and a kids’ playground. Also worth checking out are Ardress House and The Argory.

A Community Centre Anywhere

This family photo shoot was a birthday party in the Killicomaine Jubilee Community Centre in Portadown. Any local community centre can be booked, though, as there’s plenty about.

Portadown People’s Park

A short walk from the town centre with plenty of car parking, the park has a small man-made pond and plenty of paths and trees.

Bachelor’s Walk, Portadown

A small public park that’s worth checking out in the Seagoe area of Portadown. It has a secret garden hidden away.

Clare Glen, Tandragee

Located in Tandragee, Clare Glen has a great stream along the path and is very popular for local families. Not too much for the kids to do here, though. Ideal location if you're in the village or Richhill.

Gosford Forest Park, Markethill

In Markethill, lots of people come here for walks and outings and bring their kids, and I would highly recommend the park. Unfortunately, car parking is not free here. Deer can be seen from a distance from the fence if you walk around to where they are.

Palace Demesne, Armagh

Besides the Armagh City Hotel, the park has plenty of areas of beauty, which would be great for your family pictures. Located just outside the town centre, which makes it handy for everyone. Also worth checking out is Loughgall Country Park.

Peatlands Park, Dungannon

A great park between Portadown and Dungannon, just off the motorway.

Solitude Park, Banbridge

Just off the main road in the centre of Banbridge.
