Print Design Belfast
I print and design in Belfast for a range of customers and clients but let’s focus on brochures. I design brochures using the latest software applications Adobe In Design, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator on a Mac (silicon M1 transiting over from intel-based Macs a while ago). I have been using the Adobe software suite in some capacity for over 25 years even when in design was called Pagemaker. You can use a PC but I find the Mac platform better for pre-press and print.

Supply Artwork for Print
If you are supplying your artwork here are some basic guidelines. If you can’t complete these steps don’t worry contact me for any help.
Resolution: 300 dpi (72 dpi is web-based resolution and usually not good for printing)
Format: PDF or JPEG (I can also accept Word documents but these may need a bit of extra work)
Colour: CMYK (which stands for Cyan Magenta Yellow and K is for key plate (black))
Fonts: Outlined or Embedded
Bleed: 3mm preferably with crops
Safe Zone: 6mm (text and images should stay within the safe zone unless bleeding off the page)

Photo Printing
I offer a service for photo printing in Belfast and Portadown and within driving distance including Lurgan and Armagh. If Belfast your photo prints can easily be posted out. Your images can be emailed online with instructions and I will send you a quote. This is great to get those memories alive through print instead of just storing your photos on the web. It would also be great for older people who are not online and might appreciate printed photos more. Printing pictures is a craft in itself.
I can print photos onto various paper stock including semi-gloss, matt and gloss up to 190gm and from any size up to A3. I can print larger too it just might take a bit of extra time. Contact me at the print shop in Portadown with more information on your printing.
Why Photos can be expensive to Print?
This is most likely both the quality of print and paper used for photo prints. A good quality photo printer can be expensive to buy and good quality paper can also be expensive to purchase therefore the total cost is a little expensive. I think my prices are affordable and are not expensive.
