Summer Engagement Pictures in Tollymore Forest Park
Summer Engagement Photos in Tollymore Forest Park with Sandra and Simon. The couple booked for a session in Newcastle, County Down.
Tollymore Forest Park Engagement Photography
Sandra booked me for engagement photos in Tollymore Forest Park. We met at the car park, and I’ll have to be honest, I hadn’t been here for years. It took about an hour to drive here from Portadown, but it was well worth it. Sandra said that as they were Christians, we couldn’t get any kissing-type photos, but holding hands was fine. Always better to ask first what type of engagement photos the couple wanted.
Nowadays, Tollymore is best known for being used as a location for Game of Thrones and films like How to Train Your Dragon. It’s always been a popular place for local people and tourists, and it’s easy to see why. With the Shimna River running through the forest and beautiful forest views, it’s a great place to visit if you’re in or near Newcastle or the Mourne Mountains. It has a rich history.
We took a walk around some parts of Tollymore, taking photos if we saw something interesting, which, as an engagement photographer, there was no shortage of locations and areas within walking distance. I tried to think of variations in walking, standing, posing and sitting down to break the engagement photos up a bit. There was some fantastic stone work and old medieval-type buildings here. As it was summer, the flowers were out in full bloom with plenty of pink and red flowers on display. We didn’t come across the stepping stones, though, maybe next time! Hope you enjoy your engagement photos, Sandra and Simon. All the best with your wedding plans.
