Camlough Lake Engagement Photos in Newry
Camlough Lake Engagement Pictures with Marian and Tony, also visiting Derrymore House close by with their wee dog, as we headed to both in Newry. I called in with Marian and Tony to go over their wedding, and as I'm not from the area, I'd never heard of Camlough Lake until they had mentioned it. They brought with them their small dog for a couple of photos, too!
The lake is a large reservoir not used in Newry. It’s well stocked with various fish, so it is a well-known spot for fishermen. It’s also a great spot for taking your dog for a walk, too, and it made the ideal spot in County Down for a pre-wedding photoshoot with this great, mature older couple.
We walked casually around the lake onto the pier and on around. This is a limited location, which might be handy to you, as the best thing here is the beautiful Newry backdrop. I tried to think of different things for them to do for me to photograph, like walking, standing, posing and sitting down to break the engagement pictures up. It was great that the couple brought their dog too, as this certainly breaks things up.
We continued our outdoor engagement pictures with a trip to Derrymore House, which is an 18th-century thatched house overlooking the Mourne mountains in Newry. We weren’t here that long, about 10 minutes or so, but Derrymore House is a beautiful location. Hope you enjoy your engagement photos, Marian and Tony, and looking forward to photographing your wedding in Flagstaff Lodge. All the best with your future wedding plans.
