Mixed-Race Couple Wedding Photography in Malone Lodge Hotel

Malone Lodge Hotel Wedding Photography with Val and Kyle, the mixed-race couple, booked me up for their first dance in the Victorian hotel. There were plenty of guests from both sides of the family at this mixed-race wedding, and it was a joy to photograph from start to finish. The Ceremony was held at the very spacious St Donard’s Church of Ireland, but my first stop was Kyle’s parents’ in Belfast for a few groom preparation photos. The lads were very easygoing, relaxed and good craic. Then I headed off to Val and Kyle’s, not too far away, where she was getting her make-up done. Their two kids were there, too. At about this point, it started raining, more of a light rain, which wasn’t too bad but obviously not great for photos.

We made our way to St Donard’s Church of Ireland for the ceremony, really just a stone’s throw away. We couldn’t get too many pictures outside after the ceremony due to the rain, as most people headed off to the hotel; there was no hanging about for these folks!

We headed off to Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park, which was on the other side of the city, for a couple of wedding portraits with the bride and groom in an area of the park with lots of trees sheltering us from the heavy rain. Sir Thomas was a great choice, as there are plenty of trees and some stone steps that give the wedding photos more character. You also had a choice of the Botanic Gardens, which you can also check out. Tricky to get there at this time of the day as the traffic was quite bad.

Malone Lodge Hotel Wedding Photos

On to the Malone Lodge (also known as The Malone Hotel), a Victorian hotel on Eglantine Avenue, not too far from Queen’s University and Botanic Gardens, for the wedding reception, where we photographed family photos in one of the spare rooms beside the reception. Due to the weather, it wasn’t practical to get outside. Before everyone was called in for the speeches, we photographed a mock cutting of the cake. The speeches were good fun.

The first dance went well as everyone watched as Val and Kyle took to the dance floor, which I made sure to photograph. The families and a few other guests joined in, too. The dancing is always great for wedding pictures, as they are different from what we photographed earlier. I waited for a little bit as Val changed outfits, and boy, I’m glad I did, as she was outstanding! So I took photos of two different dresses. The hotel offers not just large wedding parties but also smaller parties with famous Irish hospitality and a warm Irish welcome. The hotel was one of the best! Have a great future together. A note about Photos at Malone Lodge Hotel Weddings

The hotel has won several awards in the past, and I would expect it to win many more in the future. The hotel offers a warm Irish welcome to anyone staying in the hotel or considering booking the hotel. The hotel offers the famous Irish hospitality! They offer only one wedding, like most, so you won’t have to run into another wedding party next to yours. The location is great as it’s on the Lisburn Road in Co Antrim, so quite handy to the motorway and centre.

How much Wedding Photography coverage do we need?

How much photography coverage would you like? I have a couple of options, like a full wedding day from bridal preparations until your first dance, a ceremony only and a couple of pictures or maybe something in between. You can visit my wedding packages. Let’s chat more about this.
