Golf Club and Edenderry Church Wedding Photography in Portadown

Golf Club Wedding Photography in Portadown with Brooke and Scott included the ceremony in Edenderry Methodist Church and reception in the club.

Wedding Photos Portadown

I was booked for the couple’s wedding photography for the day, from bridal preparations to the first dance. We had already met at their pre-wedding photos in Lurgan Park. The bridal preparations were in Killicomaine Estate (sometimes called Killycomain), in Portadown, as that's where Brooke is from. Some of the family was there, including Brookes’ mum. These were very casual photos of the hair and make-up being applied. Very chilled out at the stage, which is great as a photographer, as I enjoyed this part of the day, very relaxed.

About halfway, I drove over to Waringstown, the other side of Lurgan, where Scott was getting ready, so I captured a couple of groom preparation photos of putting on his jacket supplied by The Bank Menswear. Nobody here at all, so I didn’t really stay too long.

Back to Killicomaine for some final photos of the bridal party before heading off to Edenderry Memorial Methodist Church, where the ceremony was held. Beforehand, I captured some bridal preparations of the brides fixing her wedding dress, which was beautifully supplied by Orchid Studio, as well as variations of whoever was there, and there was also a first look as Brookes’ father arrived. The limo from Angel's Wedding Cars arrived to collect a few from the bridal party.

Church Ceremony Pictures

There were plenty of people outside Edenderry Memorial Methodist Church waiting for the bride to arrive, so I made sure to capture a few of them. Plenty of umbrellas, as you can see from the outside image. Scott was already waiting inside the Church, waiting patiently. The bridal party, with the maid of honour and bridesmaids wearing Vintage Rose Bridal dresses, all arrived, so I took some photos at the entrance.

The ceremony went very well, and I was able to walk around a bit, photographing different angles, which is great, with plenty of singing and was conducted by the minister. There was a decent number of people in attendance.

Golf Club Wedding Photos of their Reception in Portadown

The plan was to stop off at Tannaghmore Gardens for some portraits, but the weather got the better of us, and we couldn't make it, so onto Portadown Golf Club instead for the reception. They had an area in one of the rooms that we used to take photos of the family and bridal party. There were large letters in the background from Hire Love NI. We ran out of time for this, as everyone was called in for dinner, so we grouped some friends and photographed them to finish off.

The speeches went very well, with some fun photos captured. A golf club I would never have thought of for a reception, but it was a unique venue which added something different to your wedding day. Definitely a day guests will remember.

Golf Club Wedding Pictures in Craigavon

Golf Clubs make an interesting venue for your reception, and there are plenty in the Craigavon area and County Armagh overall. Pretty much nearly every town and village has a golf course, including Lurgan, Loughgall and Tandragee, to name just a few. Also, there is Edenmore Golf & Country Club in Craigavon and Moira. You can take portraits outside the course and explore the area. Usually, they have plenty of space being a golf course, so if the weather is good, you may even be able to take group pictures outside too.

After the speeches and dinner at Portadown Golf Club, we took portraits of the bride and groom outside the golf course. I thought a buggy would have been great, but sadly, I didn’t have the time. We took a walk around the golf course, taking a few pictures as we walked along. We photographed some informal and formal posed type pictures. There was a nice pond we stopped off for a quick pic at before heading back up to the club and the first dance. There was a bride and groom first dance and a father and daughter dance on the dance floor before others joined in too. All in all, a great day was had by all. Thanks for booking me for your wedding photography, and all the best with your future together.
