Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park Engagement Photos with Claire and Gerard in the park, which is located between Belfast and Lisburn. The couple are getting married in The Ballymac Hotel. We met at the car park, and I’ll have to be honest, I hadn’t been here for many years.

Engagement Photographer Belfast

Lady Dixon is located in the south of Belfast and is home to the International Rose Garden, so you’d expect plenty of flowers and roses out in full bloom in the summer! The park has ample car parking, a kids’ playground and picnic tables. Some of the trees are twisted and shaped oddly, which makes your images unique.

I, as the engagement photographer in Belfast, took the two middle-aged adults and their three kids for a walk around some parts of Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon, taking photos if we saw something interesting. In the summer months, this is fairly easy. I used my usual Nikon camera with a 24-70 mm lens so I could get wide shots to portrait-type photos without changing the lens or using another camera body. For engagement photos, there was no shortage of areas within walking distance. I tried to think of the usual variations in walking, standing, posing and sitting down to break the engagement pics up a bit. As it was July, the flowers were out in bloom, with plenty on display.
