Engagement and Pre-Wedding Pictures in Botanic Gardens
Engagement and Pre-Wedding Photography in Botanic Gardens, with these great couples, as they all booked a photo session in Belfast city.
Botanic Gardens Engagement Photos
We met up at the entrance and took engagement photos in the Botanic Gardens, Belfast, with Andrea and Thomas, concluding in the Palm House, where we captured a range of photos, from fun to intimate. It was great taking photos of the couple. It is advisable to book an engagement shoot as soon as possible. It is best to have engagement photos taken about 1 year to 6 months before the big day.
The couple’s engagement photo meet-up was great as they allowed us to quickly go over their up-and-coming wedding plans. I took some notes when we met in the gardens, and then I would add them to my schedule, which I carry with me on the wedding day. The gardens offer some fascinating plants and flowers. Most cities have a botanical garden of some description that you should check out. There are plenty of parks and gardens in Belfast, way too many to mention here for some inspiration.
Besides engagement photos, you need a permit from the council for wedding photos. There are also plenty of spots and areas within the gardens, like pavilions and open grass areas, for those romantic engagement photos. An engagement shoot is great for a variety of reasons for couples who are planning to get married and want some fun before the big day.
An engagement shoot can be photographed anywhere in the city, but outdoors is best. I’m sure there is a great park or location within driving distance from your house in Belfast that you often overlook. So why not go there? Failing that, you can travel further out. The summer is usually the best time of year, but any season would be great. Belfast has many great parks, and it’s a city, even around the city and its outskirts would be great. An NI engagement photo shoot offers a variety of picturesque locations.
What makes the Botanic Gardens a great place for engagement photos? It’s a park central to Belfast city, has plenty of points of interest and is within a short driving distance from Queen’s University. An engagement photographer can help capture beautiful moments in various iconic locations around the city.
There are also plenty of spots and areas within the gardens, like pavilions and open grass areas, for those romantic engagement photos. Botanic Gardens is one of my favourite spots, along with other best places for engagement photos in NI.
Botanic Gardens has tropical plants, a rose garden, an alpine garden, plenty of trees and flowers and sculptures. The gardens were established in 1828 by the Belfast Botanic and Horticultural Society, in response to public interest in horticulture and botany. It was originally called the Belfast Botanic Garden. The site was sold to the Belfast Corporation and then opened as a public park for anyone to use, called Botanic Gardens, in 1895. The park is very popular with residents, students and tourists. It is a venue for concerts and festivals.
Engagement Photos
We took a walk around some parts of the Botanic Gardens, but it is so big that we only saw a few areas, taking photos if we saw something interesting. In the summer months, this is fairly easy. For summer engagement pictures, there was no shortage of areas within walking distance. I tried to think of variations in walking, standing, posing and sitting down to break the engagement photos up a bit. As it was summer, the flowers were in full bloom, with plenty of pink and red on display. Hope you enjoy your engagement photos, Andrea and Thomas, and if you’re looking for a Belfast Wedding Photographer, get in touch with me. All the best with your future wedding plans. The fab couple are getting married in August and celebrating with loved ones at Marine Court Hotel in Bangor, County Down.
