Summertime Love Engagement Pictures in Belfast Castle

Summertime love Engagement Photos in Belfast Castle with Victoria and Ryan, as the couple booked a photo session overlooking the city. Ideal for capturing the city of Belfast and the lough.

Belfast Castle Engagement Photography

Victoria booked me for engagement photos in Belfast Castle. We met at the entrance, and I’ll have to be honest, I hadn’t been here for like... ever!

Belfast Castle is open to the public every day and has a visitor centre, antique shop, gardens, restaurant and a playground for the kids. You can’t stay in the castle itself overnight, so if you are getting married hereyou’ll have to stay elsewhere; however, the bedrooms are set up in the style of the 1920s. Since the late 1860s, the beautiful sandstone walls and towers have been restored. The new version of Belfast Castle was constructed in the late 1860s using sandstone from Newtownards.

We took a walk around the castle, taking photos if we saw something that stood out. The first thing I noticed was the great fountain in the middle of the gardens. I just had to take some photos here. For engagement photos, there was no shortage of places in the gardens. I tried to think of a few variations in walking, holding hands, standing, posing and sitting down to break the engagement images up. There was some fantastic stone work and architecture. As it was summertime, the flowers were in full bloom, with plenty of purple on display. This broke up the greenery somewhat. The couple are getting married in Belfast and having their reception in Carrickdale Hotel in Dundalk. Hope you enjoy your engagement photos, Victoria and Ryan. All the best.
