Liz booked me for engagement photos in Carrickfergus Castle. We all met at the car park beside the castle, and I’ll have to be honest, I‘ve never been here before today. It was well worth it! It's always better to ask the older couple first what type of engagement photos they want.
Carrickfergus Castle is an amazing Norman castle in the seaside town of Carrickfergus, also called Carrick, at the shores of Belfast Lough. The castle offers great views and a history worth researching. It’s supposedly one of Ireland best best-kept medieval structures, which you can go and visit.
Older Mature Couple Engagement Photos
We started at the car park, taking photos if we saw something interesting, which at a castle is fairly easy to do. As a mature couple’s engagement photographer, it’s my job to pick these things out to capture for the middle-aged couple, as there are a few areas within walking distance, but the main draw is the castle. I tried to capture a few variations in walking, holding hands, posing and sitting down to break the engagement photos up. You get sick of too many photos of the same thing, so a variation in portrait photos is good. There was some fantastic stonework and, of course, an old medieval castle here. As it was summer, the flowers were in full bloom, with plenty of red and pink on display. Hope you enjoy your engagement photos, Liz and Richard.
