Summer Engagement Pictures in Bangor Walled Garden

Bangor Walled Garden Engagement Photos with Joanne and Simon were taken on a great sunny day, and we all met at the garden entrance in County Down.

I was close by a few times but never quite made it to this spot until now. It was a great location to photograph in, with plenty of flowers and the central fountain making for some magical images. Joanne booked me for engagement photos in Bangor Walled Garden. We met at the entrance, and I’ll have to be honest, I. It took about an hour to drive here from Portadown, but it was well worth it. Always better to ask first what type of engagement photos the couple wanted instead of asking if they want some kissing-type pictures, then they’re not interested.

Bangor Walled Garden is beside the Bangor Castle and the city hall, which is further town from the town centre, so you might need to drive here. You can relax and enjoy the gardens as it’s very peaceful and quiet. Lots of flowers and plants are sprinkled around the gardens, and in the summer months, they are out in full bloom as you’d expect. The walled garden is open all year round except on certain holidays. For years, this was considered a secret garden as it was never opened to the public until 2009.

We took a walk around the walled garden, taking pictures and making memories if we saw something interesting. First off was the greenhouse with a few outside and inside too. We headed to the pleached lime trees and rose-covered arches with the fountain in the distance. We took a few photos at the water fountain before finishing off at a small patch of greenery with plenty of flowers in full bloom.

As a professional engagement photographer, there was no shortage of beautiful areas within walking distance. As usual, I tried to think of variations in walking, standing, posing and sitting down to break the engagement photos up. As it was summer, the flowers were in full bloom, with plenty on display. Hope you enjoy your engagement photos, Joanne and Simon, and if you’re looking for a wedding photographer, get in touch with me. All the best with your plans.

We finished off by going over their schedule briefly, as they are getting married in The Rabbit Hotel and The Loft, and the nice couple has booked me as their Wedding Photographer. Hope you enjoy your engagement photos. All the best.
