Shaftesbury Park Engagement Photos in Carrickfergus

Shaftesbury Park Engagement Photos with Ashleigh and Carson in the fall, and their son, as they booked in the autumn season in Carrickfergus.

Engagement Photos Carrickfergus

Ashleigh and Carson’s October engagement photo shoot in Shaftesbury Park, Carrickfergus, with their son and his friend on a glorious, chilly day.  Ashleigh’s friend booked me a while ago as a present for her friend as a gift.  The park was a little empty as it was autumn time, but we managed to capture some engaging images.  As a bit of fun, I got Carson to do a wee mock proposal, even getting down on one knee. They brought their son and his friend, and they were all laughing as it was great fun.

Shaftesbury Park is a great park in Carrickfergus, well known among local dog walkers and joggers for its extensive walking paths. A tunnel leads to the Mill Ponds, which is a nature reserve with some ducks and other wildlife. The park also has an outdoor gym and play area for visitors.

We took a walk around some parts of Shaftesbury, taking pictures if we saw something that stood out. In the autumn months, this is fairly easy as you have the light brown and golden orange leaves on the ground. For engagement photography, there was no shortage of areas within walking distance. I tried to think of the usual variations in walking, holding hands, standing and sitting down to break the photos up.

They received a USB for viewing on their smart TV, along with a couple of prints for their engagement session.  Another location is the castle; you can also check it out for some inspiration.  Hope you enjoy your engagement photos, Ashleigh and Carson, and if you’re looking for a Carrickfergus Wedding Photographer, get in touch with me. All the best with your plans. Thanks for booking me.

Engagement Photos with your Wedding Package

Did you know you might get engagement photos included with your wedding package if you book me for your big day? The engagement pictures don't need to be in this park, though, but depending on which package you’ve booked me for, you might get engagement pictures anywhere in Northern Ireland. Some other ideas are Port Muck Harbour, Hazelbank Park, Woodburn Forest and Crawfordsburn Country Park. Check this out by exploring the website further.

Notes before heading here

The park has a few nice spots you should check out. The best time of the year is fall or autumn, but winter and summer would be nice too. If you're heading here in the autumn, though, make sure to wear comfortable, warm clothes that aren’t too heavy. Wear a colour that contrasts with the browns and oranges displayed in the ground, as the light brown leaves will be on display, as you can see from my photos.
