Belfast City Hall Wedding Photography with the Older Couple
The couple’s Belfast City Hall Wedding Photography, as the price they booked me for, included both ceremony and portrait coverage at their marriage. Botanic Gardens and Cathedral Quarter portraits.
Belfast City Hall Marriage Photos
I parked further out from the Botanic Gardens, where we had our pre-wedding, and the couple were getting married in Belfast City Hall. I walked in with my camera gear, which was no easy walk. City Council marriage photos are great for all communities in the city, as the city hall embraces all walks of life, both sides of the community and anyone who isn't related to any specific side or possibly from outside of the country.
When I arrived, I photographed some of the groomsmen with the best man before the ceremony started. It was quite a small ceremony with five in attendance in the wedding room. The bride arrived for the ceremony in her dress, and I must say she looked amazing. When the ceremony was finished, we took a few more pictures within the building itself, which has some great architecture. We weren’t there that long. Thanks for booking me.
Wedding Photographer Belfast
As a City Hall Belfast Wedding Photographer and Videographer, if you like my work, please get in touch ASAP, as I only take on a limited number of weddings each year and work throughout NI. Contact me with more info. Thank you.
As I’ve photographed here, I know some of the best places to go afterwards for photos before heading to your reception. As it’s in the city, it just takes a bit of planning, as it’s quite difficult to get around sometimes. You have your ceremony and some portraits only. The council may rush us on a bit as people are working within the building. The building has beautiful architecture and marble walls, which are beautiful for photos.
I photographed some of the guests waiting before the ceremony commenced, which was easy, as it was a small micro wedding. The ceremony commenced, and I took photos from various angles, trying not to get too close. Afterwards, we took a couple of pictures at the table before proceeding to the main hallways inside the building. We took some photos and combinations on the main staircase with some portraits upstairs before leaving the building. As a photographer, if you like my work, please get in touch ASAP.
Photos of Weddings at the City Hall are AWESOME
Weddings in the city hall are always a joy to shoot, as you get to capture the superb architecture inside for your ceremony. You can’t have your reception here, obviously, but there are lots within walking distance in the centre of the city and beyond. After their short time here, the couple wanted a few portrait photos close to the city centre, so we headed off to the Botanic Gardens for a couple of portraits, stopping by The Merchant Hotel for a quick photo session too.
A stop off at Cathedral Quarter for Portraits
We stopped off at Cathedral Quarter for a couple of photos, but time was against us, so we needed to be super quick. Some great murals make your pictures stand out. Painting celebrities on the walls makes for an alternative backdrop. A wedding photographer like me would love the area.
Our last stop was a few photos at the Botanic Gardens for portraits of the fab couple parking the limo in front of the Palm House in Botanic. The wedding was as you’d expect from the council one of the best in the city as your right slam bang in the centre of the city with plenty, and I mean plenty, of local spots, actually within walking distance there there are lots of hotels, restaurants and locations close by that can be hired for your reception, all within walking distance of the city hall.
You can book here by contacting the council’s registrar at the phone number 028 9027 0455. The costs to marry in here vary throughout the week, from £180 for weekdays, which is the cheapest, to £306 for Saturdays, to the more expensive £360 for bank holidays. Once you have secured your date and booked the registrar, you will need to provide notice of marriage, which must be given at least 28 days before the ceremony and up to one year before your scheduled date.
Before you get married in Belfast, you and your partner will have to complete a marriage notice form and produce documents. You and your partner will need to provide full birth certificates, passports/national identity cards, and, if you’ve been married before, proof that you are legally free to remarry.
