Oxford Island Engagement Photos in Craigavon
Oxford Island Engagement Photos with Jasmine and Noel, as his mum booked me for a photo session at Lough Neagh in the nature reserve.
Engagement Photographer Lurgan
Noel's mum booked me for a nature engagement photo shoot at Oxford Island in Lurgan for the young couple. They live in Craigavon, so not too far to travel for all of us. We met at the car park, and I asked if they were okay with holding hands and kissing, and they said that was fine. Back to the engagement session! We took a walk around some parts of the island, taking photos of anything interesting or that stood out. In the summer months always good to wear something casual, but it is a bit cold because you're beside the shore, so a bit of wind. There was no shortage of nature areas within walking distance. We walked along the path exploring the island, as there were plenty of trees and woodland to explore. I tried to think of as many variations as possible, walking, standing, posing and sitting down to break the pictures up a bit and embrace nature.
Oxford Island Nature Reserve is located on the southern shores of Lough Neagh. The area is home to a diverse range of wildlife and offers several different activities. At the bottom is the Discovery Centre, close to where we met. At the top end is Kinnego Marina, where the boats are located, and you can also fish. There is also camping and a campsite. As you’d expect at some great location, there are plenty of walking trails, bird watching hides, and play areas for the kids.
There were plenty of paths for you to walk, and if there were no paths, there’s most likely some ground. We ended the photo session in a field. Hope you enjoy your engagement photos. All the best.

Are you searching for a Wedding Photographer?
If you are engaged and searching for a wedding photographer who captures fun and relaxed contact me. Even though Oxford Island would be great for your wedding photos, there are lots of other places and towns I photograph in. Whether it’s a pre-wedding photo shoot or your big day, I’d like to hear about your plans.
Why do I love this image?
I love this one, as dunny enough this was one of the first images we captured on the engagement photo session at the Island. The couple embrace eachother on the jetty with Lough Neagh in the background on both sides of the couple. Sure, the male is quite a bit taller than the female, but it works.
Some useful notes before heading to the Island
The island has so many great spots that it is hard to pinpoint just one. Your session would most likely last 45 minutes, but really, you could spend a lot more time here. The best time of the year is summer, but I would say autumn and springtime would be equally nice. If heading here in the summer, though, make sure to wear loose clothes that are not too heavy; no point bringing a heavy coat in the summer months, is there? Wear a colour that contrasts with the greens displayed in the trees and forest, as you can see from the above photos. The car park is free to use, so no need to worry about payment. The car park is big, so again, no need to worry about that.
