First, Omagh Wedding Video in the Family Home

In the morning, I made my way to the family home in rural Omagh, County Tyrone, for some video footage of the bridal preparations, as the fab couple had booked me for the full day. The family house was out in the countryside, so no need to worry about parking. This stage is very casual and laid back, and filming the preparations is great fun for everyone. When I was finished here and filmed enough footage, I left a little bit early in time to set up two cameras in Clanabogan Parish Church.

The Church was fairly empty at this stage, and it took me about 20 minutes to get ready and set up my video gear and equipment. I put portable audio recorders on the stand where the priest was conducting the ceremony and beside the singer, as well as on the groom when he arrived. The guests were all there at this stage as the bride walked down the aisle. This is a must-have for their wedding film.

We all made our way to the marquee wedding reception in Glenpark Estate, and I believe some of the guests were staying in the estate that night. The estate doesn’t have a lot of rooms, though. As there were Gaelic games on, proceedings were delayed a little bit, which gave me time to organise my equipment and charge the batteries. The reception was going to be held a short distance behind the hotel in a marquee wedding, and there was a tractor with a trailer attached (sounds a tad painful in the backside but quite comfortable), transporting guests down to it, so I used that and used the old-fashioned way too, i.e., walking!
