Glenpark Estate Wedding: Reception in the Marquee

Twyla and Kieran’s Glenpark Estate wedding with the couple’s reception in the beautiful marquee in one of the best venues in Omagh. PLAY VIDEO

In the morning I made my way to Twyla’s family home in the countryside for some bridal prep footage. Twyla was there with her sister and mum along with make-up and hair in full swing so to speak. I stayed here for a bit getting a few detail clips and hopefully planning to incorporate them into their wedding.

Afterwards, I headed off to Edenderry and Clanabogan Church of Ireland which was only about 10 minutes away to film the wedding ceremony. When I got there the organ player in the church with a couple of girls in the hall prepared tea, coffee and sandwiches for guests later for later on in the day. The wedding singer was practicing with the organ player so I recorded some audio of her singing. After a while, the guests started arriving and soon after that Kieran arrived in a massive tractor kindly, a typical farmer, lol!

I must say Glenpark Estate weddings are the best in the area but back to Twyla and Kieran’s wedding. About 30 guests were attending the Edenderry and Clanabogan Church ceremony with the plan that more would be at the reception. Kieran and the best man both look very good indeed with their suits supplied by SD Kells. Both lads and the minister were waiting patiently on Twyla and the bridal party, all Creative Ideas Bridal dresses looking stunning as you’d expect. The Ceremony went well with plenty of singing although a bit of a tight squeeze for me as the front of the church was quite small but I did the best I could.

I must say I loved filming this wedding as well as the other local locations too. The limo waited while the family photos were taken just beside the church then we headed off for portraits in a few locations in town. A quick stop off to put flowers at two graves and also a very brief stop off at the hospital to see Kieren’s elderly dad who sadly couldn't attend.

Glenpark Estate Wedding

We all made our way to Glen Park Estate and I believe some of the guests were staying at Glenpark Estate Hotel that night. As there were Gaelic games on proceedings were delayed a little bit. The reception was going to be held a short distance to the back of the hotel in a marquee. There was a tractor with a trailer attached (sounds a tad painful in the backside but quite comfortable) transporting guests down to it so I used that and used the old-fashioned way too ie walking!

The speeches were short and sweet with a couple of the guests making speeches too which was great to see. The music by Bitz 'N' Pieces wedding band and lead singer Barry Devlin commenced for the first dance with the bridal party dancing shortly followed by a few guests. The band is a 3-4 piece and certainly got everyone up on the dance floor when I was there! A great day had by all and thanks for booking me for your wedding.

Wedding in the Marquee

I’m trying to film a cinematic wedding for the couple in Glen Park so I am filming wide with some close-ups of either the couple, bride or groom on their own or something else. This way there is a nice blurry background.

Glenpark Estate Reviews

There are many Glenpark Estate reviews online but here’s my one from a wedding videographer’s point of view. I filmed this wedding in the estate where the couple had their evening reception in the large marquee behind the hotel a short distance walk away. For convince there is also the tractor with the trailer if don’t want to or can’t walk. I must say the estate was superb from start to finish. The marquee was plenty big for large parties and had plenty of room for the band too.
