Malone Lodge Hotel Wedding with the Mixed Race Couple
Val and Kyle’s luxurious Malone Lodge Hotel Wedding as I was booked by the mixed race couple up their first dance in the Victorian townhouse hotel.
There were plenty of guests from both sides of the family at this mixed-race wedding, and it was a joy to photograph from start to finish. The Ceremony was held at the very spacious St Donard’s Church of Ireland, but my first stop was Kyle’s parents in Brandra Street, Belfast, for a few groom prep photos, the lads were very easygoing, relaxed and good craic. Then I headed off to Val and Kyle’s in Belfast, not too far away, where she was getting her make-up done. Their two kids were there too. At about this point, it started raining, more of a light rain, which wasn’t too bad.
We made our way to St Donard’s Church of Ireland for the ceremony, really just a stone’s throw away. We couldn’t get too many outside after the ceremony due to the rain as most people headed off to the wedding hotel in Belfast, there was no hanging about for these folks.
We headed off to Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park, which was on the other side of the city, for a couple with the bride and groom in an area of the park with lots of trees sheltering us from the heavy rain. You also had a choice of Botanic Gardens, which you can also check out. Quite tricky to get at this time of the day as the traffic was quite bad
Malone Lodge Wedding
Onto the Malone Lodge wedding (also known as The Malone Hotel), a Victorian townhouse hotel in Eglantine Avenue, Belfast for the wedding reception where we shot family photos in one of the spare rooms beside the reception, due to the weather, it wasn’t practical to get out. Before everyone was called in for the speeches, we shot a mock cutting of the cake. The speeches were good fun.
The first dance went well as everyone watched as Val and Kyle took to the dance floor. The families and a few other guests joined in, too. I waited for a little bit as Val changed outfit and boy, I’m glad I did, as she was outstanding! The hotel offers not just large wedding parties but also smaller parties with famous Irish hospitality and a warm Irish welcome. The Victorian townhouse hotel in Belfast was one of the best! Have a great future together.
Malone Lodge Hotel Weddings
The hotel has won several Northern Ireland wedding awards in the past, and I would expect them to win many more in the future. The hotel offers a warm Irish welcome to anyone staying in the hotel or considering booking the hotel. The hotel offers the famous Irish hospitality only found in Belfast! They offer only one wedding like most so you won’t have to run into another wedding party next to yours. The location is great as it’s on Belfast's Lisburn Road in Co Antrim, so quite handy to the motorway and centre.
How much photography coverage do we need?
How much photography coverage would you like? I have a couple of options, like a full wedding day from bridal preparations until your first dance, ceremony only and a couple of pictures or maybe something in between. You can visit my wedding packages. Let’s chat more about this.
Where can we go afterwards?
One of the best things about getting married here is you’re not too far away from bars, restaurants and photography locations. Whether you’re eloping and just want a fancy romantic meal or heading to the pub to celebrate with family and friends.
