Winter Christmas Wedding Photos in Belfast

I was booked for the couple’s Wedding Photography in Belfast, ceremony and reception only. The venue was quite easy to get to, as close to Upper Malone Road. You wouldn't think it, but Kylie just had her wee baby a short while before their wedding ceremony commenced in the Hilsborowe Room. They also held the babies’ christening afterwards. Malone House was beautifully decorated with a Christmas theme as it was New Year’s Eve, and guests were impressed. This gives their photos a Christmas sparkly theme, which is great.

The ceremony started and was quite brisk, not lasting too long. The Hilsborowe Room was a good size for the number of guests in attendance. One person, like myself, could photograph the proceedings very well. There wasn't that much time for family and bridal pictures, but we took a few photos in the hall upstairs while guests were in the cafe downstairs. We also took some bridal photos, too, as we couldn’t really go outside as it was far too cold.

It is a historic Georgian mansion situated at Barnett Demesne in South Belfast. It is quite popular for events, conferences and of course weddings. Inside, there is an art gallery and the coffee shop called Malone Room café, with plenty of gardens and trails within walking distance. You can visit for free, as there is no charge. It was built in the 1820s. The house nearly went up in flames in 1976, and the city council rebuilt it as a copy or replica of the original 1825 house, which was reopened in 1983.

Everyone took to their seats for the speeches and meal in the Harberton Room. The speeches went fairly briskly as the groom and various other guests made speeches. Afterwards, Kylie and David took to the floor for their first dance, followed by the bridal party, and some of the guests joined in too. A DJ was playing all the hits. I made sure I captured plenty of photos from various angles to break things up a bit. Congratulations, wishing you a lifetime of happiness. Thanks for booking me as your wedding photographer.

"David and I would just like to leave some feedback for an outstanding guy, Philip, who was 100% professional with us and all our wedding guests, at most weddings, the person has to deal with a bridezilla but instead he had to deal with a snappy bride who just had a baby the day before, you did an amazing job and we are so pleased with our wedding day thank you so much and good luck for your future not that you'll need it".
