Canal Court Wedding Photography

Ciara and Paddy’s Canal Court wedding ended at the evening reception in the hotel was great as it had forecast rain but ended a glorious wedding day.

I was booked for the couple’s wedding photography and arrived early in the morning for some bridal preparations at Ciara’s parent’s house in Lurgan. There were plenty of people there already including hair stylists and make-up artists so everything was in full swing so to speak. Paddy didn’t need any groom prep photos so I spent the morning here. I arrived a bit early so I had a quick nibble with food supplied by Jeaniebelle’s Afternoon Tea and started with some detail-type photos and tend not to take too many of these but just a couple as well as the wedding dresses hanging up.

Unfortunately, when I bent down to get a different angle I heard a rip as the side of my trousers ripped open quite a bit. Thankfully Ciara’s mum was on hand to stitch up the gaping hole and all was right as rain, note to self don’t bend down quickly when wearing new trousers haha lol ;)

I took some photos of the brides and bridesmaids’ wedding dresses supplied by My Fair Lady Bridal hanging up in the front window and on the living room door. I also took some more detailed photos of Perfect Day’s headpiece on the bride and close-ups of eyelashes. Thankfully the dog sitter was looking after Ciara’s dog for the day.

Before the cars arrived to take wedding photography of everyone to St Peter's Parish Catholic Church I headed off to the church which was only about 5 minute’s drive away to take some photos of Paddy and the best man and groomsmen. When I arrived there were a couple of guests at this stage but not too many. While I was taking some groom and best man photos in front of the church the guests started to arrive and soon afterwards the two I Do Wedding Cars NI with the bride and the bride’s family too so Paddy nipped back into the church. I got some quick photos of Ciara and her dad inside the car as well as outside too with the bridal party and parents.

I tried to move around the church a bit but the priest conducting the ceremony didn’t want me moving at all (understatement!) so I was asked to stay over to the side unfortunately I didn't get too many ceremony photos inside the church. When the ceremony was finished we got some wedding photos at the signing table before proceeding outside. I managed to grab some quick photos walking down the aisle but it was a tight squeeze.

Are You Looking For A Photographer For Your Canal Court Wedding?

As a Wedding Photographer in Newry, if you like my work, please get in touch as I only take several weddings each year and work throughout NI and ROI. I love photographing weddings for several reasons. There are lots of great hotels where you can book your ceremony and reception. It depends on what you want, as there is plenty of room for photos. There are plenty of Chapels and Churches too for your ceremony that are quite magnificent, ranging from small to large, a wedding photographer’s dream! Wedding photos in these places, needless to say, are unique. The city has the bonus of just being beside the ROI border, so the city is quite handy for travel and popular for Irish people to get to.  Contact me with more info. thank you.

We had decided to head back into the Church for some photos before making our way to Tannaghmore Gardens in Craigavon about 15 minutes away from the church. Here we shot some family, bridal parties and then bride and groom portraits. The weather was pretty much perfect at this stage but a slight wind. They had the car for an hour which was a bit tight but completely doable.

Canal Court Wedding Reception Photos

When I arrived for Canal Court wedding photos, the car park space was hard to find as the hotel’s car park was full. I had to park in the public car park. All the guests were there, so the hotel was packed with guests for the couple’s reception.

The Clanrye Suite in Canal Court was very impressive with plenty of space and a bar at the top of the room with air conditioning. There were about 120+ guests in attendance at the wedding but the room can hold 200 guests. When I arrived I started charging batteries and changing memory cards. At this stage, I also took some photos of the room’s decor while it’s empty as things tend to get a bit messy when guests are in as you’d expect.

Ciara didn’t need any more canal court wedding photos so they wanted me to take more casual table photos of the guests mingling which I was more than happy to do. After a while, the guests were called into the Clanrye Suite for speeches. When all the guests were finally at their tables the manager and speaker called the wedding party closely followed by the bride and groom.

All the speeches were great, not too long, and Ciara’s mum made an opening speech along with the best man and groom as well as both Ciara and Paddy’s dads.

Afterwards, there was a great surprise that was organised by Ciara’s mum where the waiter trips and falls over as most of the guests including the wedding party think the waiter had accidentally fallen over Singers by Surprise did a tremendous job of getting the guests up, a great start to the evening.

The guests moved back out to the lounge while the staff changed the room for the evening. I took some more wedding photography in the lounge, as well as casually chatting at their tables. Infinity Wedding Band started to set up, which took a while as the musicians spent a bit of time getting the audio correct. After a bit more mingling the band called onto the dance floor the bride and groom for the couple’s first dance. Soon afterwards, the band called the bride and her father up for a daughter-daddy dance, then afterwards called the bridal party and then the guests too. Hope you have a great future together, Ciara and Paddy and all the best with your future together.

Canal Court Wedding Packages for Photography

My Canal Court wedding prices suit you from a few hours of coverage up to a full wedding day from bridal prep to your first dance, which is the best value package. I would always advise booking a full day because if you book a couple of hours, there’s far too much missed from your day. You would have to rely on smartphone photos, and that would be just awful. I don’t want to go into too much detail here, but if you are interested, have a look at my Canal Court wedding prices for photos.

My Canal Court wedding package cost is great as they are affordable prices for the hotel so if you are thinking about getting married in the hotel get in touch with me. The costs range from a couple of hours up to the most popular all day. The bridal prep doesn’t need to be in Canal Court itself but can be elsewhere. The hotel’s sister hotel is called Carrickdale about 20 minutes drive over the border.

My wedding cost starts from £990 upwards, and check out my pricing page for more up-to-date costs. I have various wedding prices to choose from, but let me know if you need any more options that are not shown. Flexible payment plans for couples booking me and the prices have plans in place so that you can pay each month; it’s completely up to you, and receipts are provided. All packages come with a wooden USB and a small presentation box.

Compare Canal Court Wedding Packages Photo

For more info and up-to-date prices, please see the main pricing page.
