Gracehall Wedding: Ceremony & Reception in Lurgan
Roisin and David’s Gracehall wedding in Dollingstown in the Banquet Hall as I made my way to David’s parent’s house for groom preparations in Lurgan.
PLAY SLIDESHOW
When I got to Lurgan in Northern Ireland for the couple’s wedding day, the two best men, Roisin’s and David‘s brother and David’s dad, were there too. Unfortunately, there were not too many groom prep shots at their home, so I took a few behind-the-scenes and some others, too. David’s mum joined in later on, so when she was ready, we got a couple of shots at the back of the house. Afterwards, I made my way to Grace Hall in Dollingstown, which is close to Lurgan.
Grace Hall Wedding
Afterwards, I made my way along Antrim Road, where I checked out the inside of the premises. I always like to have a quick nosey about the premises, in particular where the ceremony is, to get an idea of the lighting; some places are super bright, and some aren’t so much. The large room was great for lighting; I couldn't ask for better.
Roisin arrived with makeup and hair already done and just needed the dress, so she headed upstairs to her room. I shot a couple of the ceremony room in the banquet hall before heading upstairs, where I got some getting-ready type shots, although not too many at this stage.
Gracehall Wedding Price
If you want to know more details about my Grace Hall wedding price, you are free to check out my wedding pricing page. For any enquiries don’t hesitate to contact me.
I offer a good, affordable Gracehall wedding price to suit you, from a few hours of coverage up to a full day from bridal prep to your first dance, which is the best value package. I would always advise booking a whole day because if you book a couple of hours, there’s far too much missed from your wedding day. You would have to rely on smartphone photos, and that would be just awful. I don’t want to go into too much detail here, but if you are interested, have a look at my Gracehall wedding price for photos.
My Gracehall wedding price is great as I offer affordable prices for Grace Hall, so if you are thinking about getting married in the hotel, get in touch with me. The costs range from a couple of hours up to the most popular, which is a whole day. The bridal prep doesn’t need to be in Gracehall itself but can be elsewhere.
My wedding cost starts from £990 upwards, and check out my pricing page for more up-to-date costs. I offer various wedding prices to choose from, but let me know if you need any more options if not shown. I offer flexible payment plans for couples booking me, and the prices have plans in place so that you can pay each month. It’s completely up to you, and receipts are provided. All packages come with a wooden USB and a small presentation box.
Compare Prices
If you compare prices by far the best option is the full day’s price (1) as I’m there all day from start to finish, with (2) you’ll get a wedding album too, with (3) and (4) your missing parts of the day but if you don’t mind that that’ll be ok. For more info and up-to-date prices, please see the main pricing page.

Grace Hall Wedding
I went back to the ceremony room as David and the best men had arrived, so I got a couple of shots at the back of the room and balcony before heading back upstairs a final time, where Roisin was nearly ready at their Gracehall wedding. The bridesmaid, Roisin’s sister, was there ready, too.
This was a micro wedding day, so no more than 25 guests were allowed, including myself. The only people who didn’t need to wear a face covering were the bride, groom and the person conducting the ceremony. The face covering wasn't too bad to wear during the day but slightly steamed up my glasses. The ceremony started, and afterwards, we shot a couple at the table with the bridal party and parents. They were zoom recording the ceremony at the front of the room, which was very 2021!
The speeches were afterwards at the front, with everyone still in their seats. The first dance was allowed here, too, which was fab. Next to the bar and lounge, which was empty as everyone was still in their seats, for cake cutting, some of the family and guests took a couple themselves before Roisin and David walked down the aisle at their Grace Hall wedding. I was up at the balcony getting a couple of groups with everyone at their chairs fairly well spaced out due to government guidelines. This was in the banquet hall where they would have had dinner.
Even though it was a great day, it was still March, so maybe it was just a little too cold to be asking guests to go outside, so we shot friends and families at Grace Hall Dollingstown wedding photos inside in one of the large stately rooms. The guests didn’t need to be hanging around, so we started with friends before shooting both families and a few different combinations. We then went outside around the side of the building for a couple of portraits and also a couple more inside as the couple’s special day was finished.
All in all, a great time was had by all, I wish you all the best with your future together, Roisin and David, thank you for booking me as your wedding photographer in Lurgan.
Reviews
“Philip Topping was fantastic. He was so professional and had so many great ideas for wedding pictures. Everyone was put at ease with his pleasant manner and highly complimented his work throughout the day. Would highly recommend him. Couldn't say enough good things about him.” Roisin
FAQs
Gracehall can be booked for your ceremony and has all the usual traditional ceremony trimmings you can change upstairs in one of the bridal rooms, the bride and father walking down the aisle, readings, signing the registrar and the bride and groom walking down the aisle. The room is also where you have the evening reception.
How long does a ceremony take? The Grace Hall ceremony I photographed was short and took about 20 minutes, although a religious ceremony would take longer at normally about 45 minutes.
Where can we go for photos for our special day? Luckily for you, Gracehall is a beautiful mansion-type building with plenty of land around it. It’s got high ceilings stunning on the inside with plenty of photo options within and around the outside of the grounds, so if you want to stay close, we can get it all done at Gracehall. If it’s a great day outside, it is best, and if it is cold or raining inside, it is great, too. Alternatively, we can head to some photo locations.
How much coverage do we need? The question should be, how much photography coverage would you like? Would you like a full day covered from bridal prep until your evening reception, or do you just want the ceremony documented with some pictures afterwards? Let’s chat and figure out what feels like a good fit.
Gracehall
This is a spotlight, information and also images of the magnificent interior and exteriors of Gracehall, where I recently worked. I must say Gracehall is a fantastic wedding venue in Lurgan and one of the best. Gracehall venue in Lurgan, Northern Ireland, is one of the best in Dollingstown and the surrounding areas. It is located beside the M2 motorway, which is accessible from either end of the country. To be honest, it’s a little hidden gem as I’d never heard of the Grace Hall until quite recently… and I live about 6 miles away! Let me know if you’ve any questions or anything else in the comments. Corporate events are also very popular here. I must say I loved the exposed oak beams, as it was great for pictures, I’m glad they didn’t hide the beams.
