They should be well experienced in different lighting conditions in locations. There should be a range of flattering poses to try out for your business some could even be artistic in some way. The location could reflect your business and what you're trying to convey photographically through your portrait. Rest assured they should be unique to you.

Portrait Photographer Belfast

Shannon booked me as a portrait photographer in Belfast for headshots and her photoshoot was in Botanic Gardens as she wanted headshots and portraits for her school project at Belfast Met and we both decided this might make an ideal location. We certainly weren’t disappointed as the day was sunny with plenty of areas within the gardens to shoot in.

Review

Thank you so much for the pictures that were taken in Botanic Gardens. I would highly recommend other people to use you. You have really good lighting and focus on the camera and good gel lights, you are easy to work with. Thank you!!! Shannon

Portrait Photographer

I was booked as a Northern Ireland headshot photographer in a park in Craigavon, Tannaghmore Gardens portraits on a great sunny summer’s day and I brought my softbox lighting although it was so bright I don’t even think I needed it! After Jade got make-up sorted in the car park we all took a walk around the gardens, her mum bringing their wee dog.

Portrait Photography

I was booked as one of two location portrait photographers in Antrim as this was the location for a fantasy shoot and behind-the-scenes (BTS) video. This was a photo shoot organised at Antrim Castle Gardens with Shauneen Lorraine / Folklori_.

Portrait photos for a medieval-themed shoot in Northern Ireland and fantasy portraits with a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video. I asked a photographer friend if I could come along to his fantasy medieval photo shoot and he said that was no problem. The plan was to take some medieval photos at various places in Antrim Castle Gardens in Northern Ireland. He had a softbox for lighting and I would be taking more natural light photos and a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video.

Watch behind-the-scenes (BTS) timelapse of us shooting medieval pictures on a medieval (fantasy Game of Thrones themed) themed photoshoot with Shauneen / @Folklori_ at Antrim. Many castles in NIc can be used for medieval pictures in Carrickfergus, Dunluce and Castle Ward but this location has privacy so that you can shoot away without much notice. If you are looking to shoot something yourself medieval-themed head here.

What do you need for portraits?

It is best to have clothes and makeup that represent medieval times like Shauneen was dressed in the appropriate clothes. She also got a loan of a sword that we incorporated into the photos which gave the photos an edge and another dimension. I’m glad I came along as a portrait photographer. I photograph portraits all over NI including Belfast, Carrickfergus, Derry, Lisburn, Bangor, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Armagh, Portadown, Lurgan, Omagh, Dungannon, Cookstown, Banbridge, Enniskillen and Newtownards.
